G.C Stonemasons is a family-run company founded in 2022 by Director Gordon Crawford. Stonemasonry runs through Gordon’s family line; he is the great-great-nephew of a stonemason and was trained in the trade by his cousin. Gordon has since passed on the craft to younger generations of his family, keeping traditional skills alive in Scotland. With over 20 years of experience, Gordon’s work spans mainland Scotland, England, the Shetland Islands, and as far afield as New Zealand.

G.C Stonemasons is certified with the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) and is committed to developing skilled stonemasons through structured training and apprenticeships. To date, we have successfully trained two apprentices, one in their 1st year and one in their 4th, supporting them to build strong foundations in traditional stonemasonry alongside modern site practice.

Our bespoke services include restoration, repointing, new builds, architectural stone features, ornamental detailing, and more. Alongside a deep commitment to quality craftsmanship, G.C Stonemasons is dedicated to preserving history, specialising in traditional methods and working to safeguard Scotland’s architectural heritage. Our proven portfolio reflects this, with projects spanning the heritage, residential, and commercial sectors. Over the past 4 years, we have collaborated with industry partners such as FFDR, Covanburn, Stirling Council, Kings, GoForth Housing, Clydeway Contracts, and more.
