Stone Walls, Steps & Hard Landscaping

We design and construct stone walls, stairways, and hard landscaping features that are built for strength, longevity, and visual balance. Our work ranges from boundary and retaining walls to bespoke staircases, patios, and garden structures, using traditional techniques and carefully selected natural stone. Each project is set out with precision to suit the site, integrating seamlessly with existing buildings and landscapes. Whether forming new access, stabilising ground levels, or creating defined outdoor spaces, our work is built to last and finished with care.

Entrance & Boundary Wall Construction — Kings Park

This project involved the construction of a bespoke entrance, boundary wall, and retaining wall using hand-laid sandstone selected to complement the traditional character of the property. The entrance steps and associated stonework were carefully set out and finished to achieve long-term durability, visual balance, and a seamless integration with the existing architecture. The completed works provide a strong, elegant entrance feature built to stand the test of time.

Retaining Wall, Garden Stairs & Bespoke Bin Store

This project involved the construction of a retaining wall designed to match existing stonework previously completed on the property. A stone stairway was also formed to provide access along the side of the garden, improving both circulation and usability of the space. Leftover materials were repurposed to create a bespoke wheelie bin store, delivering a tidy, functional solution that integrated seamlessly with the surrounding masonry.

Entrance Walls Construction — Stirlingshire

This project involved the construction of a set of stone entrance walls at the front of a castle property in the Stirlingshire area. The walls were carefully built using natural stone to create a strong, well-proportioned entrance feature suited to the historic setting. Final elements, including gates and cobbled surfacing, are scheduled to follow as part of the wider works. The completed masonry establishes a solid and visually coherent entrance, with stone selected, cut, and built to a high standard.

Dry Stone Dyke Rebuild — Dunblane

This project involved the rebuilding of a failing dry stone dyke that had begun to lean and deteriorate. The unstable sections were carefully dismantled and rebuilt using traditional dry stone methods to restore stability and longevity. The completed works returned the dyke to a safe, durable condition while maintaining its traditional character.

Random Rubble Entrance Wall & Stone Pillars

This project involved the construction of a random rubble boundary wall and stone entrance pillars at the driveway of a returning client’s property. Traditional random rubble masonry was used to achieve a natural, understated finish that sits comfortably within the surrounding landscape. The completed works create a strong, well-defined entrance while maintaining a timeless and durable character.

Square & Sneck Stone Wall

This project involved the construction of a square and sneck stone wall for a valued client and property developer. Each stone was carefully selected and laid to achieve strength, durability, and a clean, well-balanced finish. The wall has been constructed to integrate with forthcoming driveway works, with coping to be completed as part of the next phase. The completed masonry provides a robust and refined boundary feature built to last.

Indian Sandstone Paving Installation

The completed project blends traditional materials with contemporary design, creating a durable and welcoming outdoor area tailored to the clients’ needs.

Bespoke Stone Arch Construction — London

This bespoke project involved the construction of handcrafted stone archways within the basement of a London property, formerly used as a private spa and swimming pool. Working in collaboration with the main contractor, the arches were built entirely from scratch using traditional stonemasonry techniques. Each stone was tight-stacked, dressed, and shaped by hand to form the voussoirs, abutments, and keystones, using hammer and chisel throughout. The completed work demonstrates precision craftsmanship and structural integrity within a highly detailed internal setting.

Boundary Wall Rebuild — Alloa

This project involved the stripping back and rebuilding of a boundary wall serving one of the oldest buildings in Alloa. The existing wall had deteriorated and required full dismantling before being carefully rebuilt to restore safety and stability. The stonework proved more substantial than anticipated, with large, heavy stones requiring controlled handling and precise rebuilding. The completed works delivered a secure, durable boundary wall that enhances both the setting and long-term performance of the site.

Wall Rebuild & Lime Repointing — Dunblane

This project involved the rebuilding of a collapsed stone wall in Dunblane. The failed sections were carefully dismantled and rebuilt to restore stability and structural integrity. Inappropriate cement pointing was cut out and replaced with traditional lime mortar to improve breathability and long-term performance. The completed works returned the wall to a sound, durable condition, forming part of ongoing works for a returning client.

Stone Wall Repair & Rebuild — Houston, Glasgow

This project involved the repair and rebuilding of a deteriorated stone wall in Houston, Glasgow. Damaged sections were carefully stripped back before new stone was supplied and integrated alongside the existing masonry. The wall was rebuilt and fully pointed using Hourdex lime to ensure durability while maintaining breathability. The completed works restored the wall’s strength, appearance, and long-term performance.
